Centre for Corrections and Human Development (CCHD) is a humanitarian, non-profit, non-sectarian and non-governmental organization, dedicated to the promotion gender equality, recovery and rehabilitation of women and youths. It is also for the enhancement of quality of life, re-establishment and development of human personality through education, counselling, mentoring, and empowerment irrespective of class, tribe and religion. We pay particular attention to socially deviated and less privileged persons.
Main Objectives
- Platform for re-orientation, re-education, re-training and rehabilitation of socially maladjusted, misdirected, traumatized, abused and /or disoriented persons.
- To provide encouragement, support, counseling and monitored coaching to the beneficiaries with a view to empowering them and re-integrating them into society.
- To help them locate their vocational destinies, sharpen and harness their talents and gifting, discover and pursue skills suitable for them.
- Provide skills acquisition programmes, business training and human capacity building.
- To increase societal awareness and interest in correctional education.
