GOOD NEWS ON TRAFFICKING

Posted by Mrs. Obioma Agoziem on 24 October 2014
It is soothing to hear that the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has passed through the second reading, a bill seeking to end trafficking in persons and sale of new born babies.  The bill if passed into law would end harbouring of pregnant ladies as well as selling or attempting to sell new born babies.  The Law maker Eddie Mbadiwe is proposing a 10-year jail term for the offenders. This move will check the growing trend of baby production factory in some parts of the country where young pregnant girls are kept and their newly born babies sold off. The good news is that you can be a part of this fight.  Consciously observe your neighbourhood, any suspecting activity please report.  Just get involved you will be shocked how far we can go.
